Oli takes star billing in Jack Magazine
Oli McBurnie is looking forward to catching up with former team-mate and ‘good pal’ Tammy Abraham when the Swans face Aston Villa at the Liberty on Boxing Day.
Abraham, who scored eight goals in 39 appearances for the Swans during the 2017-18 season, has enjoyed a prolific start to this campaign with Villa.
The Chelsea loanee has netted 12 times in 16 Championship games for Dean Smith’s side, including the winner when the two sides met at Villa Park in October.
And McBurnie, who played alongside Abraham during the first half of last season, is pleased his former team-mate enjoying his football.
“Tammy’s a great guy and a really good pal,” he tells Boxing Day’s Jack Magazine. “It’s good to see him enjoying his football again.
“Last season didn’t quite go the way he wanted it to so, as a friend, it’s great to see him scoring goals like everyone knows he can.
“I’m looking forward to catching up with him again.”
