Nathanael Ogbeta makes Bolton Wanderers loan move

Swansea City defender Nathanael Ogbeta has joined Bolton Wanderers on loan for the remainder of the 2023-24 season, subject to international clearance.

Having missed a large part of the season to date as he recovered from a quad injury, the move to link up with the League One promotion hopefuls gives Ogbeta the chance to get minutes under his belt following his return to full fitness.

Wanderers currently sit third in the third tier, two points off top spot with games in hand on the teams ahead of them.

Former England youth international Ogbeta joined the Swans from Shrewsbury in January 2022.

He made 58 appearances for the Shrews, having been on the books at Manchester City for a decade.

Injuries have hampered his time in SA1, and brought a premature end to a positive spell on loan at Peterborough United last season.
