Myles Peart-Harris | We need to start finishing teams off
Myles Peart-Harris admits Swansea City need to start punishing teams when they're on top after playing out a goalless draw against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
In a game of few of clear chances, the Swans had to settle for a point with Jay Fulton and Ronald coming closest for the visitors.
Peart-Harris, 22, was handed his second start for the Swans following his loan move from Brentford. His first having also coming in Sheffield against United at Bramall Lane.
And while he felt securing a point was positive, there was frustration that Swansea could not kick on and get all three.
"Coming here, we wanted to get the three points. In the first half, we had a lot of the ball and we played with some good quality," he said.
"In the second half, they made it tricky and it was hard for us. Physically as a team we had to dig in, and picking up a point like that against a tough team, we'll take that.
"We can keep the ball quite a bit at the moment, but it's that cutting edge in the final third, and that's the story at the moment. We just need to be punishing teams in those moments when we're on top.
"In training, we're all putting in the work doing finishing drills. I'm sure when we get going, everything will fall into place."
Peart-Harris also praised the defensive efforts of the Swans after a fourth clean sheet of the season, with Lawrence Vigouroux not making a save of note in south Yorkshire.
"Defensively, we're great, and one of the best in the Championship. The back four dug in and they put their bodies on the line," he added.
"Hillsborough is a hard place to come, so to get a clean sheet and a good defensive performance is good."
