Myles Peart-Harris | That was a great moment to give the fans
Myles Peart- Harris says he and his Swansea City teammates were delighted to give the Jack Army another festive moment to savour as his last-gasp winner secured three points against Luton Town.
The Swans trailed early on to a Carlton Morris goal, but Gonçalo Franco had the home side level before the break.
The hosts piled on the pressure after Joe Johnson was dismissed midway through the second half, and they got their reward when substitute Peart-Harris arrived to convert from Harry Darling’s header in the first minute of stoppage time.
The win backed up the emphatic 3-0 Boxing Day win over Queens Park Rangers, and Peart-Harris was delighted to help the Swans round off 2024 in victorious fashion.
“Of course it’s special to do that for the fans, that’s our job as professionals,” he said.
“We want to make the fans happy and all the families who come to watch, and this was definitely a good way to round off the year.
“I was delighted but that is the job for any substitute, you need to come on and be ready to impact the game.
“I think we deserved it, to get a streak of wins in the Championship is very important and a few wins on the bounce can set you in a good place.
“But we need to keep going and climbing that ladder in the table. I think we are putting the pieces of the puzzle together.”
