Myles Peart-Harris wants the energy and intensity Swansea City showed with and without the ball in victory over Blackburn Rovers to be a benchmark for the remainder of the season.

The on-loan Brentford midfielder picked up a goal and an assist against Rovers, as the Swans secured a first home win of 2025 against a visiting side sitting in the Championship play-off places.

He teed up Liam Cullen for the Swans’ third – registering his fourth assist of the season – having scored his third goal of the campaign just before the interval.

That effort came about through great battling work by Zan Vipotnik, who harried Dion Sanderson as they fought for possession, with Peart-Harris then pouncing on the loose ball to drive forward and find the far corner of the net.

And he felt Vipotnik’s selfless grafting was representative of the Swansea performance as a whole.

“I think in a way that summed up what was really good about the performance, we worked hard for each other,” he said.

“When I scored I went straight over to Vipi, because it was his battling, his power and his strength that allowed me the opportunity.

“It meant I was able to get on the ball, and I had the power and the speed to get to the box and finish it.

“It was something we had worked on in the build-up to the game, to be ready to attack and be positive when we had the ball, especially when we won it back in transition.

“We pressed well, we reacted well and we had three goals and a clean sheet to show for it, but we have to carry it on.”

But Peart-Harris insists Swansea must now use that as the minimum standard over the remaining dozen games of the league season.

“I think to have a performance and a result like that was massive for all of us, and especially for the fans because we know how much they want to see the team do well, and how much they feel it when we are not,” he added.

“We have to be mindful that this is something we cannot dwell on. This is a good way to try and restart, it can be a bit of a fresh start for everyone, but it is only one day and we have to be ready to keep it going.

“From a personal point of view, of course I’m pleased to have been able to contribute.

“All I can do is give my best every day in training and whenever I get the chance to play. It doesn’t matter what position that is in, I have to be ready to produce.”
