Morgan Gibbs-White injury blow for Swansea City
Swansea City have been dealt an injury blow after Morgan Gibbs-White was ruled out for three months with a fractured foot.
The 20-year-old picked up the injury in the Swans 2-1 win over Millwall prior to the international break, and faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
The midfielder had made a very bright start to his loan spell – having joined from Wolves in August – with an assist and a goal already under his belt in his first four games.
"He's out for three months. Unfortunately, he's got a stress fracture in his foot," said Cooper.
"It's a blow for everybody. He was doing so well for us. We brought him here because we thought he was going to be an important part of the team, but these things happen and we have to work hard with him to try and get him fit.
"In the meantime, we've still got enough players to go and be more than competitive in any game that we play."
