Mike targets repeat performance
Mike van der Hoorn believes a repeat performance can bring a different result for the Swans at West Brom on Wednesday.
Graham Potter’s side went down 1-0 to Championship leaders Norwich City at Carrow Road on Friday night.
It proved a harsh defeat for the Swans, who had controlled the first half and had gone close to scoring on a number of occasions.
The Swans had enjoyed 52 per cent of possession in East Anglia, while they had 12 attempts on goal compared to Norwich’s eight, with five of those on target while the host had one.
Now they face another team in the hunt for promotion, with Darren Moore’s Baggies next up at The Hawthorns.
And van der Hoorn is confident the Swans will get their rewards this time if they can match their level of performance from the clash with the Canaries.
“We played very well against Norwich and we have to take that level of performance into the West Brom game,” said the Swans stand-in skipper.
“It will be a different type of opponent because they are team that are more of a fighting side.
“But we must do our own thing, work the ball quickly and create chances. If we keep doing that then we will pick up some important points.”
