Michu targeting home improvement
21st December
Michu has just one thing on his Christmas list this year - three points against Everton on Sunday (4pm).
The Swans hope to deliver the perfect Christmas present to the Jack Army by unwrapping another win at the Liberty as the Toffees visit South West Wales.
Michael Laudrup's side have won just two home games in the league - against Sunderland and Newcastle - from eight attempts.
And Spanish international Michu, who is hoping to pass a fitness test on his troublesome ankle, believes an improvement on results on home soil would be a cracking present for Swans supporters.
"I think to be tenth in the league and in the knockout stages of the Europa League is a good achievement for us so far," said Michu, who has six goals in 19 appearances this season.
"I think we need to start winning more games at home though. We have just two victories at the Liberty and although we have only lost two, we need to pick up more points here.
"We have the opportunity to get three points on Sunday - beating Everton would be a great Christmas present for the supporters.
"Of course, it will be a very tough game for us because Everton are playing very well under Roberto Martinez.
"They have looked very strong this year - they have only lost once (away to Manchester City) and they are scoring plenty of goals too.
"But we have to control the game, play with the right tempo and set the pace early on.
"Victory on Sunday would give us a great start going into the busy Christmas period.
"If we can win this game then we head to Chelsea on Boxing Day with good momentum."
