Michael Duff praises application and attitude of Swansea City squad
Michael Duff has praised the attitude and application of his Swansea City squad, as they prepare for their final fixture before the international break against Plymouth Argyle.
The Swans head to Devon on the back of a four-match unbeaten run, which has included a sequence of three-straight wins against Sheffield Wednesday, Millwall and Norwich City.
That run has come on the back of a challenging start to the season, with 13 new players and change across the coaching staff and at management level at the club.
And head coach Duff, while keen to stress plenty of hard work and improvement lies ahead, has been pleased with the players commitment and work ethic.
“Our players have applied themselves, and their attitude had been top-drawer throughout but, as you would expect, we do have a bit of a bounce in our step with the run we have been on,” he said.
“But the togetherness they have shown has been excellent. Football is a tough sport, we don’t think we have arrived or anything like that because there will always be bumps in the road.
“A lot of things went against us, but the squad have stuck together, worked hard, implemented new things and new ideas.
“We have changed formation, we have been bedding in a lot of new players, and I could not have asked any more of the squad.
“It’s nice when you get a few wins as it generates that positive feeling around the place, now we want to harness and embrace it.
“We’ve been pretty consistent in our messaging that hard works pays you back, you have to earn what you get and the guys have taken that on.”
