Members of 1994 Autoglass Trophy team to attend Queens Park Rangers fixture
Members of Swansea City’s 1994 Autoglass Trophy-winning team will be making an appearance at the Swansea.com Stadium when the club marks the 30th anniversary of their achievement against Queens Park Rangers on Monday.
The 1994 team – manager by Frank Burrows and captained by John Cornforth – were the first Swansea side to play at Wembley Stadium, and they secured the silverware as they beat Huddersfield Town on penalties at the world-famous venue.
To accompany the upcoming anniversary, the club has launched a special commemorative kit which will be worn as a one-off in the home fixture against the Rs.
And the likes of captain Cornforth, Roger Freestone, Steve Jenkins, Mark Clode, John Hodge, Mark Harris and Jon Ford – as well as members of the Burrows family – will be in attendance.
The former Swans will be presented to the crowd – along with the Autoglass Trophy prior to kick-off – and will share some of their memories of that special Wembley afternoon when being interviewed during the half-time interval.
Heavily-discounted tickets for this fixture remain available and can be purchased below.
