James Bell issues a yellow card

James Bell will be the referee for Swansea City’s Championship finale against Oxford United on Saturday.

It will be the third time the Yorkshire official has taken charge of a Swans fixture this season, overseeing the 1-1 draw against Luton at Kenilworth Road in December and the defeat at Cardiff in January.

Bell, who first qualified as a referee when aged 14, was promoted to Select Group Two in the summer of 2022 following two successful seasons in League One and Two, and made his Championship debut in August 2022.

He has officiated across all EFL leagues this season, handing out 130 yellow cards and eight red cards in 31 games.

On Saturday, he will be assisted by George Byrne and Matthew Jones. Greg Rollason is the fourth official.
