Meet the officials | Norwich City
David Webb will be the man in charge when Swansea City travel to Norwich City on Saturday.
It’s the third time the Lancashire based man has taken charge of a Swans game this season, after overseeing a defeat to Millwall in March and a draw with Stoke City in August.
Webb is an experienced official having been appointed to the National List of Referees in 2008. He first took charge of a Swans game in 2011 – a 2-1 defeat to Burnley in the Championship.
Saturday’s match will mark the 13th time Webb has blown the whistle on a Swans match, though interestingly he has only visited SA1 three times.
In total this season, Webb has handed out 111 yellow cards and eight reds in 36 games.
Half of these red cards came in a dramatic 3-3 draw between Sheffield United and Blackpool, which saw the Seasiders’ Marvin Ekpiteta and Dominic Thompson dismissed for two yellow card offences, while Shayne Lavery and the Blades keeper Wes Foderingham were shown straight reds.
This weekend, Webb will be assisted by Andrew Fox and Richard Wild. Lewis Smith will be the fourth official.
