Meet the officials | Millwall
David Webb will be the man in the middle when Swansea City travel to face Millwall on Tuesday (7.45pm kick-off).
It will be the second time the man from County Durham has overseen a Swans match this term, having presided over the 1-1 draw with Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium in August.
On that occasion, he handed out three yellow cards in total with Matty Sorinola and Kyle Naughton booked for the Swans.
Webb is very experienced. He was appointed to the National List of Referees in 2008. He has since taken charge of 13 Swans matches, with five of those coming in the 2021-22 season.
In total this season, Webb has handed out 90 cards in 30 games. He has also shown five red cards with four of those coming in a dramatic 3-3 draw between Sheffield United and Blackpool, which saw the Seasiders’ Marvin Ekpiteta and Dominic Thompson dismissed for two yellow card offences, while Shayne Lavery and the Blades stopper Wes Foderingham were shown straight reds.
On Tuesday, Webb will be assisted by Robert Merchant and Akil Howson. James Bell will be the fourth official.
