Meet the officials | Huddersfield Town
Matthew Donohue will be the referee when Swansea City host Huddersfield Town at the Swansea.com Stadium (3pm kick-off).
The Manchester-based official earned three successive promotions which saw him climb from National League North to the National List of Referees between 2016 and 2018.
The former primary school teacher first took charge of a Swans match in February 2021 – a 3-2 home defeat to Derby County. Since then he’s taken charge of a further six games.
This will be his third Swans this match having overseen two trips to south Yorkshire – a 1-1 draw with Rotherham United on the opening day and a 3-0 defeat to Sheffield United in February.
On that day at Bramall Lane, he handed out five yellow cards with Ben Cabango, Nathan Wood and Jay Fulton booked for the Swans.
During the current campaign, Donohue has handed out a total of 114 yellow cards and three reds.
This weekend, Donohue will be assisted by Paul Hodskinson and Richard Wild. Sunny Singh Gill will be the fourth official.
