Meet the officials | Birmingham City
Matthew Donohue will be the man in the middle for Swansea City’s league clash with Birmingham City on Saturday (3pm kick-off).
This will be the third time he has overseen a Swans match this term having previously taken charge of the Carabao Cup match against Bournemouth. He was also a late replacement for the recent league match against Middlesbrough on December 16 after James Bell was forced to pull out with an injury.
The Manchester-based official earned three successive promotions which saw him climb from National League North to the National List of Referees between 2016 and 2018.
The former primary school teacher first took charge of a Swans match in February 2021 – a 3-2 home defeat to Derby County. Since then he’s taken charge of a further eight games.
On Saturday he will be assisted by Paul Hodskinson and Bhupinder Singh Gill, while David Webb is the fourth official.
