Matt Grimes | We need to stick together
Matt Grimes says Swansea City have to stick together as they look to get back to winning ways against Blackburn Rovers tonight (7.45pm).
A five-match winless run has seen Steve Cooper’s side drop out of the play-off places, and they were beaten 5-1 at West Brom on Sunday.
They are also looking to turn around their home form, having won once in the last seven fixtures at the Liberty.
And, while Grimes acknowledges the Swans are going through a challenging period of the campaign, the captain feels things can quickly change if players, staff and supporters all pull together over what is an important time of the season with the busy festive period rapidly approaching.
“We’re going through a difficult period at the moment, but we must stick together – players, staff and fans,” he said.
“As a club, we must pull together through the bad times as well as the good.
“We need each other more than ever to get ourselves out of this dip. “Anything can change in football. If we get two or three wins on the bounce, we’ll be right back up there.
“That’s what we must look to do.”
