Matt Grimes | This is an opportunity to show we can go toe-to-toe with anyone
Matt Grimes wants Swansea City to embrace the challenge of facing Stoke City on home soil on Saturday.
The Swans host the Potters on Saturday at the Swansea.com Stadium, with Luke Williams' side looking to continue their unbeaten league form in SA1.
Grimes believes Stoke will be full of confidence when they arrive in Wales following their 6-1 victory over Portsmouth on Wednesday, but has urged the squad to build on previous positive performances.
"It'll be a tough game. Playing against Stoke is always a tough outing," said the skipper.
"It's been a fast turnaround this week, with a Sunday game then a midweek game, so we will definitely will have some rest but work towards Saturday.
"The Championship is mental, and everyone knows that. I'm sure they'll have a lot of confidence from their big win against Portsmouth.
"We always want to go toe-to-toe with every team we play against and we are starting to show that every week, we did that against Sheffield United, but we'll need to do it again against Stoke."
