New arrival Maisie Miller has revealed how Swansea City Women’s style of play was one of the biggest reasons behind her joining the club.

Miller was the Swans fourth January acquisition, following Verity Jones, as well as fellow former Gwalia players Lauren Davies and Caitlin Williams to SA1.

The 20-year-old has previously featured for Wales Under-19s, as well as previously playing for Durham, Brighton & Hove Albion and Port Talbot Ladies.

Miller is excited to be linking up with the Swans and is eager to face the challenge of trying to secure a place in the team.

“I’m really excited to be here, I’m looking forward to getting to know all the players, all the staff and getting stuck into training and working hard,” said Miller.

“The style of play was a draw for me, they are dominant in possession, brave on the ball, direct in attack.

“It’s something that I’m really looking forward to being a part of, and working with all the girls.

“I’m really fortunate to have had the opportunity with Gwalia, but I’m really looking forward to my next chapter now.

“All of my experiences have really helped shape me, not only as a player but as a person and I’m really lucky to have had them and I’m hoping I can bring pieces of each of them into my time at Swansea.

“I know a few of the girls already from Gwalia and Wales, so hopefully they’ll help me settle in. They will know the way I play and I know the way they play, so I’m looking forward to getting back on the pitch with them.

“There are some big games ahead so I am looking forward to getting into training and competing for a place in the squad.”
