Magic Michu steals the show
16th May
Spanish sensation Michu cleaned up at Swansea City's annual Awards Dinner at the Liberty Stadium, run in conjunction with the Supporters Trust and Executive Fundraising Committee
The Spaniard, who cost a bargain £2.2m from Rayo Vallecano in the summer, walked away with four of the main awards after a season that saw him bag 22 goals in all competitions ahead of Sunday's finale against Fulham.
Michu was presented with the Supporters Player of the Year, Players Player of the Year, Away Player of the Year and Top Goalscorer awards.
The Spanish theme continued as Chico Flores was voted the Best Newcomer following the central defender's £2m summer transfer from Genoa.
Ben Davies, 20, won the Young Player of the Year after an incredible season that saw him thrown in at the deep end following a serious ankle injury to Neil Taylor. And he was outstanding throughout the campaign in his debut season.
Jonathan De Guzman won Goal of the Season for his team effort against Stoke City at the Liberty on January 19.
Josh Sheehan won the Youth Development Player of the Year, while Neil Taylor was handed the Club Ambassador of the Year award following his sterling work in the community.
The Lifetime Achievement Award went to Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins.
