Head coach Luke Williams says Swansea City will need to again be ready to knuckle down and meet the physical challenge if they want to extend their unbeaten home record against Millwall this afternoon (3pm).

The Swans have yet to lose a league game in SA1 this term, and are back at the Swansea.com Stadium following away games at Blackburn and Sheffield Wednesday following the international break.

They face a Lions side yet to win on their travels in the Championship, but Williams is in no doubt as to the threat the visitors will pose, and what will be required of his team.

“You know whenever you face Millwall you are in for a tough game,” he said.

“They are very organised, they are tough physically, they will be direct and challenge you in that way.

“They will not switch off for a moment and they will look to hurt us.

“They will be very bright and alert around second balls, and all those things in the world that a football team needs to do, all those fundamentals, they will do them very well.

“They have a very experienced manager who gets his message across to the players brilliantly, and therefore you know they are never going to be able to tickle their bellies.

“But we are unbeaten at home, we want to keep that going and we want that feeling going out on the pitch. If you go a certain number of games without losing, and hopefully winning more than you draw, you start to go out there and feel you are in the right place and the results are going to come.

“That is what happens with consistent performance, sustaining that is not easy but we certainly want to sustain this run at home and to be a tough place for people to come to.”
