Head coach Luke Williams has told his Swansea City side they will need to be brave and accurate in their play as they take on fancied promotion contenders Sheffield United at Bramall Lane this evening (7.45pm).

The Swans head to south Yorkshire in good form, having taken seven points from their last nine available, and losing just two of their seven Championship games so far.

The Blades, meanwhile, are one of just three unbeaten sides in the second tier as they target an immediate return to the Premier League following relegation last term.

Williams knows his side will start as underdogs, but wants them to take the encouraging signs from their recent performances and display them in a challenging and hostile environment.

“It will be a ferocious atmosphere, they have a very good squad and a very good manager,” said the Swans boss.

“So, if you go there and perform well then I think it should give you a huge boost in confidence because you know you are not going to face much more difficult than that.

“They are going to be in the mix to go back up, they are in that bracket.

“So we will need to be at our very best, we will need to be very, very brave.

“You have to be squeaky clean and do everything well, and then you have to add to that as well. That is the challenge for us.”
