Head coach Luke Williams wants Swansea City to back up their gritty performance against Bristol City and start the process of getting their home form back on track against Sheffield Wednesday tonight (7.45pm).
The Swans secured their first win of 2025 courtesy of the 1-0 victory over the Robins at Ashton Gate on Sunday, and return to SA1 to host the play-off chasing Owls.
Swansea did not lost a home league game until the end of October, but have lost the last two at the Swansea.com Stadium, and not won in their own backyard since December 29.
And Williams hopes his side – spurred on by the resilience and battling qualities shown at the weekend – can start to build some momentum after a difficult period.
“The games come thick and fast and there are no easy games. We have to go try and back up the performance from the weekend with the same level of performance and grit,” he said.
“They’re very competitive. I think the manager is very smart at analysing his opponent and I think they have a good feeling there. The fans have a lot of faith in the manager and quite rightly so.
“We’re going to have another very tough game. Hopefully with the home support behind us we’ll have that little bit more energy as well.
“There have been games at home we’ve had within our grasp and we’ve let them get away from us. We are frustrated with that.
“We not want to make sure we recognise the feeling we had from winning away from home in a gritty performance where everyone gave everything for the cause.
“We’ve had a performance that’s really helped us remember the bedrock and foundation of how we should play every week. We’re now hoping for a real positive run of results and performances.”
