Luke Williams | We need to put any disappointment behind us
Luke Williams wants Swansea City to put their south Wales derby disappointment behind them and respond against Wycombe Wanderers in tonight’s Carabao Cup clash.
The Swans lock horns with the Chairboys in the second round, looking to extend their unbeaten run to four games.
Last time out the hosts played out a 1-1 draw against Cardiff, missing out on a sixth win in seven derbies after a late equaliser.
But Williams, who could hand debuts to new signings Nelson Abbey and Florian Bianchini, wants his side to banish any lingering sense of frustration.
“We are looking forward to this,” he said.
“We are disappointed with how things turned out on Sunday and we felt like we wasted a big opportunity.
“We need to get over the disappointment quickly and be ready to produce a good performance at home.
“We have players who have not been with us for so long, so more minutes, more practice and more game time are going to be welcome for them.
“We have two players who arrived at the end of last week, so we need to help them get used to playing with their new teammates.”
