Luke Williams | We need to produce high-calibre performances with greater regularity
Luke Williams believes Swansea City’s performance against Sheffield United underlined how good they can be, and says it highlights their collective responsibility to produce such showings on a more consistent basis.
While the 10-man Swans eventually fell to a 2-1 defeat as the Blades went back to the top of the Championship table.
It was in stark contrast to the showing in the south Wales derby at the weekend, but had echoes of the performances in victories over Queens Park Rangers and Luton Town over the Christmas period.
The Swans head coach feels those showings highlight that his team can be a handful for any team in the division, but that everyone must work to try and ensure they reach those levels game to game and fulfil their potential.
“I think it’s fair for me to say that when we play well we are a challenge for anybody in the division,” he said.
“More often than not, when we win games we thoroughly deserve to do so.
“But we know that we have to find more consistency, and we have to make fewer errors and capitalise more on our good spells.
“These are the things that are going to turn us into a good team.”
