Luke Williams has urged his Swansea City squad to believe in themselves and the standard of football they have previously shown they are capable of as they prepare to face Bristol City at Ashton Gate this afternoon (12pm).

The Swans take on the Robins in the televised lunchtime kick-off looking to record a first win of 2025.

The sides played out a 1-1 draw at the Swansea.com Stadium earlier in the season, and Williams is expecting another hard-fought encounter.

He acknowledged his squad are enduring a difficult run, but wants them to show what they are capable of as he pointed out that just a few weeks ago they produced two excellent performances to record wins over Queens Park Rangers and Luton Town.

“Bristol City are a good team, and we know what a good side they are from a very tough game against them earlier this season,” he said.

“We will be well supported there, I am sure it is going to be a good atmosphere so, come on, let’s be ready to play.

“The guys are hungry and motivated to play, and we know we are going to have to make a good performance if we want to get a positive result. So let’s go.

“I have a lot of confidence in the group, we are having a tough time and there is no hiding away from that, but they have also played some very good football at times this season.

“They have been very competitive in nearly all games until some tough ones in this recent run, so let’s show what we are capable of.”
