Luke Williams | We can travel with confidence, but we must play with intensity and energy
Luke Williams has warned Swansea City they will need to match the work-rate of a Hull City side energised by the presence of a new head coach when they take on the Tigers this afternoon (12.30pm).
The Swans head to the MKM Stadium looking to quickly return to winning ways after the disappointment of letting a two-goal lead slip in defeat to Sunderland last time out.
Hull, meanwhile, are looking to lift themselves off the foot of the Championship table under Ruben Selles, with the former Reading boss having succeeded Tim Walter in charge of the East Riding of Yorkshire club.
Fourteen places separate the sides in the table, and Williams believes his side can travel with confidence given their good record against teams in the lower half of the division.
But the Swans boss has made clear no-one should be expecting a comfortable afternoon against a home side keen to prove themselves to the new man in the dugout.
“They will be coming into this game with a different mindset in the early stages of working with a new manager,” said Williams.
“We don’t expect anything easy, we expect a group with a new energy, new ideas. It is difficult to analyse them over a long period of time because things are changing very quickly.
“So it is a huge challenge, but we have just faced a very strong side in a very good place.
“This is a a team who are in a different set of circumstances, but have not had a fantastic start to the season.
“We should go there feeling confident enough to give them a really tough game.”
