Luke Williams wants Swansea City to show greater accuracy in final third
Luke Williams wants Swansea City to find a clinical edge in the final third when they take on Huddersfield Town in the Championship on Saturday.
The Swans are seeking a third win in a row when they travel to west Yorkshire, having beaten Stoke City and Rotherham United on home soil.
Head coach Williams has challenged his side to finish the season strongly and carry some momentum into the off-season.
But, to do that, he believes his side need to show greater accuracy and composure in the final third.
“We have to be more clinical,” said the Swans boss.
“We had a lot of the ball and spent a lot of the game attacking against Rotherham last weekend.
“We had a lot of box entries, but we need to be a lot more clinical and accurate.
“It does not matter who you play, keeping an opposition from hitting the target for 90 minutes – we as did last weekend – is tough.
“We did it, but we had opportunities to score and did not take them.
“We need to convert more of our chances, Huddersfield will be highly motivated and disciplined.
“They will have a gameplan, and we are going to have to be ready for a very tough Championship game.”
