Luke Williams | It was heartbreaking to lose that way
Head coach Luke Williams was left gutted after his Swansea City side were cruelly denied a valuable point against league leaders, Leeds United.
Harry Darling’s first goal of the season after just nine minutes put the hosts ahead before Manor Solomon levelled.
Liam Cullen then followed up his recent heroics for Wales by netting his fourth of the season just before the break, but team-mate Ben Cabango turned into his own net in the second period to level for Leeds.
Leeds then took the lead for the first time 15 minutes from time, when Solomon grabbed his second of the afternoon.
And substitute Florian Bianchini looked to have rescued a point when he restored hope in stoppage time. But Wilfried Gnonto netted within a minute of the restart to claim the spoils.
"In the end it was heartbreaking. We fought so hard to get back on level terms so late on in the game," said Williams.
"It was against such a high quality opposition, they made us pay for any mistake that we made today.
"We did go toe-to-toe with them. There are a lot of positives, but we need to start winning against sides when we have the opportunity.
"We've had the challenge of not scoring goals, and today we scored three goals against the best side in the division."
