Luke Williams | A draw is a fair result
Luke Williams praised the defensive efforts of his players in securing a point in their goalless draw against Stoke City at the Swansea.com Stadium.
Swansea finished off a three-game week before the international break whilst extending their unbeaten run on home turf in the league against the Potters.
The hosts had the better of the chances throughout the 90 minutes as Jisung Eom, Ronald and Žan Vipotnik all came closest.
And the head coach felt a share of the spoils was a deserved outcome.
"I think it's fair. I think we were value for a victory, but you get what you deserve in football, and I don't think we deserved to get more in the end," said Williams.
"We wasted big chances, and in that way, you get punished in football.
"I think the players have to believe it's their turn to have the spotlight and have the glory. If you don't believe it, you find ways to snatch the ball or not put it over the line.
"The overall performance was very good, I was almost happy with everything except not putting the ball in the back of the net.
"Lawrence Vigouroux was again incredible, the two centre-backs, I think they should start giving goals to the defenders when they're making blocks and heroic actions.
"We have to thank the fans for helping us with our unbeaten home run because they give the energy and they keep singing and bringing the intensity," he added.
