Luke Williams challenges Swansea City to keep performance levels high
Head coach Luke Williams has challenged Swansea City to keep their performance levels high when they travel to face Derby County tonight (8pm).
The Swans head to Pride Park following agonising last-gasp defeats against high-flying Burnley and Leeds United.
But their performances in those two games saw them cause problems for teams who many fancy to be at the sharp end of the Championship table come the end of the campaign.
And Williams wants the visitors to approach their assignment against the Rams with the same mentality and positivity.
“We cannot wait,” said the Swans boss of the trip to the East Midlands.
“I want the players to understand that if they can play at that level against Leeds United then they have a really good chance against many teams in the division.
“So we should be looking at this game in that way, and I will be asking them to view this opportunity in that way.
“We know it is going to be a really tough game, but we are looking forward to it.”
