Loan taught me a lot, says Biabi
Botti Biabi is keen to put what he has learnt on loan into practice with Swansea City Under-23s in the coming weeks
The 22-year-old recently returned from a five-month spell with Hamilton Academical this month having sampled some game-time with the Scottish Premiership side.
And Biabi feels the move has helped him grow as a player.
“My loan at Hamilton was a good experience but I am happy to be back and to be able to get going again with the under-23s,” he said.
“Playing with older and experienced players was a great opportunity and I feel I have learned a lot over the past few months to bring back and implement in my game.
“If I am honest I did not get as much game-time as I would have wanted at Hamilton, but that is football.
“I fully believe the experience has toughened me as a professional player.”
Biabi has praised the Swans development squad for their impressive form in Premier League 2 in recent weeks.
The striker helped the under-23s extend their winning league run to four games with a 2-0 victory over Chelsea last weekend, and says he is relishing this Monday’s test against Derby.
“The boys have been doing really well,” Biabi added.
“Our win against Chelsea meant we started 2018 the right way and maintained our unbeaten run.
“We can take that confidence into Derby and push for another good result to extend that run.
“I want to make an impact on the pitch and get some goals to help the team going forward.”
