Liam Smith and Azeem Abdulai called up by Scotland Under-21s
Swansea City duo Liam Smith and Azeem Abdulai have been called up to the Scotland Under-21 squad to take on Norway in two friendly matches in Spain next month.
Nineteen-year-old Smith receives his first call-up at under-21 level following an impressive start to life in SA1 following his arrival in January. The former Manchester City man had previously represented Scotland at under-16, under-18 and under-19 levels.
Abdulai, meanwhile, is selected for the second time after making international debut for the young Scots back in March.
The games will represent the final preparation for Scot Gemmill's squad ahead of their first Euro 2025 qualifying match against Spain in September.
The first match against Norway will take place in La Nucia on Thursday, June 15. The second match will also take place in the same region of Spain on June 18, with the venue and kick-off time to be confirmed.
