Liam Cullen | We have to dust ourselves down and get ready for the run-in

Liam Cullen admits Swansea City played a part in their own downfall against Burnley, but says they must dust themselves off and get themselves ready to round off the season strongly.
The Swans were beaten on home turf at the Swansea.com Stadium, as early goals from Josh Brownhill and Jaidon Anthony set the promotion-chasing Clarets on their way.
The goals were uncharacteristic of a recent run where the Swans had conceded just one goal in four games, and they were unable to find a way back into the game.
Forward Cullen acknowledged it was a disappointing way to end a period where the Swans have taken seven points from 15 available, with four of that quintet of fixtures coming against teams in the promotion and play-off hunts.
But they have the opportunity to start again when Championship hostilities resume after the international break.
“They were really disappointing goals to give away, we played a part in our own downfall really,” he said.
“We have been so good at defending the box recently, so it was disappointing. We had a couple of half chances to get back in it, but we were not ruthless enough when we had those opportunities at the top end of the pitch.
“We just have to dust ourselves down over this international break and get ready to go again.
“We have taken seven points from these five games, the Preston game was a different sort of performance, but I thought in the two wins at home we were outstanding.
“We played on the front foot, we were assertive and good in transition. We did not do that so well this time, but Sheez has been really positive and lifted the camp.
“We now have to get ourselves fresh again and be ready to go for the final run-in. It’s important we try and finish strong and build a bit of a foundation looking ahead to next season.
“There’s a lot for us to prove and we have got to be on it.”
