Liam Cullen | Let's keep our foot to the floor over final games
Liam Cullen wants Swansea City to keep their foot to the floor and not let up over their final two games of the Championship season.
The Swans are the Championship’s form team having won six and drawn one in their last seven games for a 19-point haul from the last 21 on offer.
There have also been five clean sheets in that run, including the latest in last weekend’s emphatic 3-0 win over Norwich last time out.
Next up for Russell Martin’s side is another long away trip to take on Hull City at the MKM Stadium, before a final home assignment against West Brom on May 8.
And while Cullen knows ending up close to the top six will be a real frustration, he and his team-mates are determined to keep their good form going right to the final whistle of the campaign.
“It may be the case that we get to the end of the season and wish there was another game or two to come,” said the striker, who scored his ninth goal of the season at Carrow Road.
“But the focus for us has to be on trying to keep the momentum going, to keep this run going, and just see where it takes us.
“That’s been the talk among us as a group, we are in a really good place, we are playing with smiles on our faces and working hard for each other. I think you can see that in how we’ve played in this run, and in the games before it where performances started to turn.
“There are two games to go and we want to keep pushing all the way to the last minute of the last game and make sure we have plenty of positives to take forward into the summer.”
