Liam Cullen | I love this club, it's why this game means so much
Lifelong Jack Liam Cullen admits the south Wales derby will always carry a deep personal significance for him as he looks to again help fire Swansea City to victory in the fixture.
The Swans host their south Wales rivals in SA1 having won five of the last six meetings between the teams, including the last contest at the Swansea.com Stadium in March.
Cullen, 25, first joined the Swans as an eight-year-old, and has come all the way through the academy ranks to first-team level.
And the Kilgetty product has his sights set on a special hat-trick, having scored in each of his two derby-day starts to date.
"It's the game I look for when the fixtures come out. Being a derby it's always got that extra little bit on it," he said.
"Being a player who loves this club, the game means a lot to me. It's nice to score goals in this game.
"I thought the one I scored away from home would be my favourite, but to score last season and celebrate in front of the north-east corner of the stadium, and go on the win the game, it'll be tough to top that.
"But, hopefully, I can do it Sunday, because it's a very special feeling.
"It will always be special for me to score goals for Swansea because this is my club, but a derby does have that little bit extra.
"It's obviously early this season, I don't think anyone expected it to be this early, but it just creates that excitement for the players and the club.
"We are ready and really looking forward to Sunday. I think we are in a good place and I think I can speak for the lads in saying that we have had the best pre-season we could have had.
"We cannot wait to get going."
