Lewis Webb completes Aberystwyth Town loan switch

Swansea City goalkeeper Lewis Webb has joined Aberystwyth Town on loan until January 2023.

The 20-year-old will link up with the Cymru Premier side, who are managed by former Swansea goalkeeper Anthony Williams, ahead of their Welsh top-flight campaign.

Webb had recently returned to SA1 from a loan spell with Irish top-flight side Shelbourne.

The Wales Under-21 international joined the Swans from Merthyr Town in the summer of 2019.

Webb previously spent time in the youth ranks at Cardiff and Newport, as well as Welsh League Division Three side Chepstow Town.

He played eight times for the under-23s in all competitions during the 2019-20 season and, after an appearance on the bench for the home win over Millwall in October 2020, he secured his long-term future at the club by putting pen to paper on a new deal through to the summer of 2024.
