Let's stick to our principles, says Marc Guehi
Marc Guehi believes Swansea City must stick to their principles as they look to end their recent form.
Steve Cooper’s side fell to their fourth consecutive defeat on Monday at the hands of Preston as a Matt Grimes own goal saw the Swans beaten by an injury-time goal for the second time in four days.
The result means the Swans have lost ground on second-placed Watford, while they now sit four points above seventh-placed Bournemouth with seven games remaining.
And Guehi, who has made 36 appearances this season during his second loan spell from Chelsea, wants the Swans to keep believing in themselves ahead of Saturday’s trip to Millwall.
“It's about fine details in football,” said the 20-year-old centre-back.
“What happened on Monday has happened a few times now. But we must rally together and keep our heads up - even though it's difficult at the moment - and push through this tough time. That's what we are going to try to do - keep believing and keep going forward.
“At this stage of the season, we've done well to be where we are. We need to get back to what we were doing before and realise that we have got here because we are good and have been doing some good things.
“We must take that into the next game and rally together - the fans must stick with us also, which they have been all season
“It's a matter of time before we do get our win, and hopefully we can get a good few wins under our belt in our remaining games.”
