Lawrence Vigouroux has demanded there is no let-up from Swansea City as they look to carry their strong form into the final games of the season.

Vigouroux kept a third clean sheet in a row, and a sixth in the last nine games, as the visitors claimed a 1-0 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light thanks to Ben Cabango’s goal.

That made it three wins without conceding in the space of a week, and moved Swansea into the top half of the Championship table.

There are still four games remaining, starting with the Good Friday clash with Hull, and Vigouroux wants the Swans to make sure they finish as strongly as possible.

“To get a result like that against a team who have secured a play-off position is a huge positive for us,” said the goalkeeper.

“It just caps off an incredible nine-point week with three clean sheets.

“We’ve still got tough games to come though, and we have to make sure we keep the focus and make sure we are prepared, and I am sure we will be after the boost of the last week.

“It’s a credit to all the boys and the staff, we have defended so well, put bodies on the line and it’s got us these wins.”

The three shut-outs in a row mean Vigouroux now has 13 clean sheets to his name but, as always, the keeper is keen to share the credit around as he pointed out the commitment of his teammates to defend the box.

"The defence have been outstanding, whoever has played there,” he said. "

“We had Hannes (Delcroix) at left-back, then we put Josh (Tymon) back there, and he was outstanding. The other three have been brilliant for me, Harry (Darling), Ben (Cabango), and Josh (Key).

"They help me out a lot, they allow me to make the saves in terms of when they can't get there but I know they do everything they can to put their bodies on the line.

"It's so important for me and the whole team, the amount of blocks they made was brilliant, it shows how important they are.

"And it's not just the defence, it's everyone, we get those clean sheets as a collective.”
