Lawrence Vigouroux | It's been an intense period, but I am loving it
Lawrence Vigouroux is loving life on and off the field at Swansea City, after an “intense” start to his time in SA1.
The 30-year-old goalkeeper joined the Swans from Burnley earlier in the summer, and he has started the two competitive games so far this term against Middlesbrough and Gillingham.
He is now preparing for his first home league fixture in Saturday’s game against Preston and, while it has been a whirlwind few weeks since he linked up with his teammates during the pre-season training camp in Austria, Vigouroux is relishing his opportunity.
“I have really enjoyed my time here so far,” he said.
“It has been a very intense period, we have been working really hard every day and that has been great.
“I really like the club and the people I really like the city and the area and, like I say, I am really enjoying it.
“I have been able to play in the games so far, the chance to try and play more regularly really swayed my decision to come here.
“It was hard for me last season when I worked hard but I didn’t play. I missed that feeling of playing on a Saturday.
“So the most important thing for me is to work hard day in and day out, and to listen to what the staff are asking of us.
“I’m working with a goalkeeping coach who is one of the best in the world and who is very honest with me in terms of what he expects.”
