Kyle Naughton expects "hardest test yet" at Leeds
Kyle Naughton expects Saturday’s trip to face Leeds United to be the toughest test Swansea City have yet faced this season.
The Swans and the Whites lock horns at Elland Road on Saturday with the teams occupying the two automatic promotion spots at this early stage of the Championship season.
Both sides have won four and drawn one of their first five games, and the winner of Saturday’s game is guaranteed to be top of the pile over the upcoming international break.
Naughton will be hoping to make his first league start of the season, having made an impact off the bench against Birmingham as he opened the scoring in a 3-0 win at the Liberty.
The experienced defender recently brought up 150 Swansea appearances since his arrival in January 2015, and is looking forward to the test lying in wait in his county of birth.
“They’ve also had a good start so it should be a really good game,” he said. “Obviously, they’re a good side and have made some decent signings. They nearly got promoted last season and I’m sure that will be their goal for this year.
“It will probably be our hardest test of the season so far. It will be a tough game for both sides.
“We’ve played against opposition with a lot of different styles and managed to figure it out.
“Hopefully, we can do that again this weekend and - whatever game we play this season - we’ll be going there to win."
