Kyle Naughton contract extension confirmed at Swansea City
Kyle Naughton has signed a one-year extension to his Swansea City contract and will remain at the club for the 2021-22 season.
The 32-year-old put pen to paper on a one-year deal last summer, and his new contract sees him look forward to an eighth season at the Liberty following his move from Tottenham in January 2015.
The defender – who made his 200th appearance for the club earlier this term – will now be part of the Swans’ plans for next season.
Head coach Steve Cooper said: “We’re delighted that he’s committed to another year.
“He’s had an excellent season so far, and he has shown great leadership on and off the pitch.
“Kyle has shown his versatility at right-back and right centre-back, and he is a very popular member of the squad. He is highly respected and regarded as a footballer by his team-mates and the staff.”
