Kristian Pedersen in contention for Oxford clash
Kristian Pedersen is back in contention for selection for Swansea City’s Championship clash with Oxford United.
The defender has completed his recovery from a hamstring injury and has been back in full training with his teammates ahead of the trip to face the U’s.
Andy Fisher and Jisung Eom are making good progress in their recoveries, while head coach Luke Williams expects to have an otherwise unchanged squad to choose from.
“The squad is good, we have nothing new to report in terms of injuries, so that must be a good thing,” said the Swans boss.
“Kristian Pedersen has been back in full training with the rest of the group so he is ready to go and is in contention.”
Williams also welcomed the confirmation of a new contract for striker Liam Cullen, who has put pen to paper on a deal through to the summer of 2028.
"I am really pleased, I think he’s a really good player and character. He’s a product of the academy, so I’m really happy about it," added Williams.
"We know that we’ve struggled to hit the back of the net as many times as we want, but his all-round performances have been excellent.
"I think he’s a very attack-minded player and he’s somebody who helps us to defend from the top of the pitch, as well. He suits the direction that we want to go in."
