Keiran Evans ruled out with Achilles injury

Swansea City Under-23s coach Jon Grey confirmed midfielder Keiran Evans has been ruled out for several weeks with an Achilles injury.

The 20-year-old has not played for the development side since their 1-0 victory over Stoke City in early January.

Evans, who has been with the Swans since he was six, has made 12 appearances for the under-23s in Premier League 2 Division Two this season, scoring twice.

But Grey hopes to see the attacking midfielder return to action before the end of the season.

“Keiran’s going to be out for a few weeks with an Achilles injury,” the under-23s coach said.

“We’re still awaiting confirmation but, hopefully, he’ll be back for the final stages of the season.”
