Josh Tymon | We need to keep our feet on the ground
Josh Tymon has urged Swansea City to keep their feet on the ground and retain their focus as they prepare to host Bristol City on Sunday.
The Swans take on the Robins looking to record a third win in a row, following victories over Norwich City and Coventry City in their last two outings.
Those results had Swansea sitting just outside the play-off places ahead of this weekend's round of Championship fixtures.
But, with 40 games remaining, the full-back and his teammates know it would be foolhardy to get too caught up in league positions or early-season form with so much hard work ahead.
"We do it ourselves at times, you naturally look at teams who start to string wins together, and I am sure if we can make it three in a row this weekend teams will take notice," said Tymon.
"But you cannot start thinking about where you are going to be in May, it's about the here and now and taking every day and every game as it comes.
"We have got a solid base to build from, but that's all it is at the moment, it does not guarantee us anything if we do not build on it.
"We are always learning, the relationships between us are building all the time, and I think we have shown we have a balance in our play.
"That is massive because, having played against Swansea a number of times in my career, you would not always have them down as being resilient or tough to play against.
"It's a credit to the staff and the players that we have been hard to beat so far this season, but we are not getting ahead of ourselves by any means. We have a job to do Sunday, and that's the focus."
