Josh Key insists the challenge of hosting Championship leaders Leicester City is one Swansea City should relish.

The Swans host the Foxes at the Swansea.com Stadium on Saturday as league action resumes following the international break.

Michael Duff’s side headed into that brief pause on the back of a run of four-straight wins, while they have taken 13 points from the last 15 on offer.

Only two teams in the second tier have garnered more points over the last six rounds of fixtures, Ipswich and Saturday’s opponents.

Leicester have taken the full 18 available from their last six games, and are widely-considered the clear favourites to win the division.

It means the Swans will start as underdogs, but defender Key – fresh from scoring his first Swansea goal at Plymouth last time out – believes the hosts can approach the game with a positive mindset.

“We are probably the underdogs in the game but I don’t think we see it like that ourselves,” said the 23-year-old.

“We know the way they have started but, with our recent form, we can approach the game with confidence.

“They are coming to our place and it’s exciting

“I am taking it in and loving every minute of it. the reason we are footballers is we all love the challenge.

“There are many other factors, but at the end of the day I think that’s what it comes down to, and I am going to enjoy the challenge on Saturday.”

“We have to go into the game with optimism otherwise there’s no point. We will look to build on that momentum from our recent form and look to keep improving.”

There is still time to get your ticket and watch the in-form Swans take on the Championship leaders.
