Josh Ginnelly believes Swansea City will get their rewards if they continue to work hard and stick together.

The Swans picked up a point on the road at Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday night, with Ginnelly giving them the lead with his first league goal for the club.

Michael Duff’s side had looked on course to claim all three points at Loftus Road, only to suffer the agony of Lyndon Dykes’ heading in a last-gasp equaliser for the R’s.

Nevertheless, there was plenty for the head coach and squad to take from the performance, which saw them operate effectively in a different shape.

And Ginnelly is determined to help the Swans take another step in the right direction when they host Sheffield Wednesday at the Swansea.com Stadium on Saturday.

“We started the game very well, we had the better of that opening 25 or 30 minutes and I felt there was a lot we could take from the performance, it was a lot better,” said Ginnelly.

“We played a different shape, and had not had much chance to work on it, so to be able to show some of the things we did was a positive.

“I don’t think there is any time for negativity right now, we are disappointed we did not win but we have picked up a point away from home, we have a few days before we play again at home.

“We have to look forward and get ready for Saturday, we will stick together like we did in this game.

“The result might not have been what we wanted, but I think you could see everyone worked really hard for each other.

“Everybody is pulling in the same direction, and if we keep doing that it will turn for us. We are working hard to put things right and get things right."
