Joel Cotterill makes Swindon Town loan move

Swansea City midfielder Joel Cotterill has joined Swindon Town on loan for the 2024-25 season, subject to international clearance.

The 19-year-old links up with the League Two Robins, having recently featured against Mark Kennedy’s side in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Fairwood.

Cotterill has been with the Swans since the age of seven. He put pen to paper on his first professional contract in June 2022, and has since extended terms to the end of June 2026.

Cotterill made his senior debut for the club in August 2022, coming on as a substitute against Oxford United in the Carabao Cup.

He was named academy player of the year at the end of that season, and had a spell on loan with Stockport County last term.
