Joe Allen, Jay Fulton and Joel Latibeaudiere return for South Wales derby
Swansea City will have Joe Allen, Jay Fulton and Joel Latibeaudiere fit and available for Saturday’s South Wales derby against Cardiff City.
Allen missed the victory over Bristol City through injury, while Fulton and Latibeaudiere were suspended.
But they are all back and in contention for the weekend as the Swans look to continue their good recent record on derby days.
Swansea’s international contingent have all returned to training, although head coach Russell Martin admitted Olivier Ntcham will need to be assessed following his travelling to represent Cameroon in their African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Namibia.
“The squad is looking good, everyone is fit apart from Steven Benda,” said Martin.
“Joe Allen is back, which is nice and he will be involved. It’s good news for us and he will be important for us.
“He has lived this occasion and been a part of it. His understanding of the game and having that depth ahead of such a game is important.
“The international boys have come ack well, although Olivier has done a lot of travelling so we might have to take it easy with hm. We will assess him again tomorrow and see where we are.
“But we are in a good place, we have Jay and Lats back, and without doubt we will have the strongest bench since we have been at the club.
“We have decisions to make for the selection with those boys coming back. It’s a tough position but one that we welcome.”
