Joe Allen and Liam Walsh available for Blades trip
Joe Allen and Liam Walsh are fit and available for Swansea City’s Championship clash with Sheffield United, but Joel Latibeaudiere will miss out against the Blades.
Allen, who announced his retirement from international football earlier this week, had missed last weekend’s game against Birmingham after taking a knock in training but he has recovered well.
For Walsh, meanwhile, it is a first involvement in the travelling party at senior level this season having just returned from a ruptured Achilles suffered in the early stages of pre-season back in July.
However, Latibeaudiere has not recovered from the calf strain he picked up against Birmingham, although it is hoped he will be available for Wednesday’s home fixture against Blackpool.
“Joel will not be in the squad this weekend, but Joe Allen will,” said head coach Russell Martin.
“We will also have Walshy back in the squad which is even better news, he has worked so hard and has come back in great physical shape and looked really sharp having got a couple of games under his belt.
“Joel should be back for Wednesday against Blackpool, obviously things might change but at the moment that is what we expect.
“But we have two good bits of news in having Joe and Walshy back.”
