Jisung Eom | I want to do more for the team

Jisung Eom v Middlesbrough

Jisung Eom was delighted to be able to net his first goal for the club, and felt togetherness was key in Swansea City’s 1-0 win over Middlesbrough.

Eom’s curling strike in the 26th minute saw him open his account in SA1 and earn all three points for the Swans.

The win sees the Swans make it back-to-back home wins, and the South Korean international savoured the special feeling, and hopes he can replicate it going forward.

“I’m so happy to finally have scored my first goal for Swansea,” said Eom.

“It’s been eight months since I’ve joined Swansea and it’s taken me so long to get my first goal. The noise that the crowd made when it went in was so loud and I can still hear it now, I’m so happy I could have that moment.

“It’s great to be able to do that for them, I’ve been waiting for that moment so I’m really happy for that.

“I believe that kind of shot and that kind of goal is my strength, it was nice that I was able to show it today and hopefully I can show it more often now.

“I’m desperate to create more chances and do more for the team, and bring as much joy as I can to the fans.

“We’ve had three games, three clean sheets, and two wins so we have really good momentum at the moment and we are looking forward to the next game.

“I believe that everyone is playing as a team, everyone is really close and really together and I think that brought out that performance.”
